1964Establishment of MAHLE-Stiftung GmbH (MAHLE Foundation) and MAHLE Beteiligungen GmbH (MABEG)—now known as MABEG—Verein zur Förderung und Beratung der MAHLE Gruppe e.V.
1965Start of production of rough-cast cylinder liners using the centrifugal casting process
Production of sodium-filled hollow valves made possible by innovative production method
Production of the first hollow-cast camshafts
1967Introduction of NIKASIL® protective surface coating for engine components
1968Acquisition of Süddeutsche Kolbenbolzenfabrik GmbH (SÜKO)—now MAHLE Motorkomponenten GmbH, Germany
