Since reliable dust removal requires tuning of all components, the basis for an application-specific layout is the determination of technical filter parameters, especially with regard to cleaning behavior. This is where our test bench per VDI/DIN Directive 3926 is put to good use.

Technical experiments and practical experience are of decisive significance at MAHLE, in order to reliably test dust filter concepts and their operational reliability. This is due to very different dust properties, which depend on parameters that are difficult to estimate in theory, such as dust fineness, bulk density, adhesion and agglomeration properties, or moisture.
